VideoRay Cockpit version 1.7 and up provides an interface to select whether the video window can be resized or not. See: http://download.videoray.com/documentation/pro_4/html/settings_adv_video.html
This FAQ applies to version 1.3.8 of VideoRay Cockpit only.
The video window size is 640 X 480 pixels, and by default, it is not resizable. It can be made resizable by changing a setting in a configuration file. Future versions will include a checkbox to enable or disable resizing the video window.
If you want to change the video window size by changing the video settings, be aware that the procedure requires some intermediate computer skills.
The video resize control is stored in vrcockit.config. This file's location depends on whether you are using Windows XP or Windows 7 (Windows Vista is not a recommended operating system for VideoRay Cockpit).
- Windows XP location: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\App Data\VideoRay\
- Windows 7 Location: C:\Users\VideoRay\App Data\Local\VideoRay\
If you are using a different account, change "Administrator" or "Users\VideoRay" to match the account.
These files are typically hidden files.

Steps:
1. Make sure VideoRay Cockpit is not running.
2. Locate the configuration file referenced above and open it in a text editor. Do not use a word processing program.
3. Change the line that says,
False
to,
True
4. Save the file. Do not change the name and make sure your text editor does not automatically add ".txt" to the name.
5. Start VideoRay Cockpit and verify that the windows controls appear in upper right hand corner.
If you have problems and the configuration file gets messed up beyond repair, delete the configuration file and start VideoRay Cockpit. VideoRay Cockpit will regenerate a new configuration file if it cannot find an existing one.
