Yes, if you are operating in a remote location there are some common tools and pieces of equipment that will help you solve many problems that may arise. These helpful items include: flash light, duct tape, wire, spare line, blocks/pulleys (for the tether), pieces of foam (also good for tether handling over sharp corners, etc.), spare extension cord, surge protector with multiple outlets, spare composite video cords, a small inverter that can attach to a battery, a bucket, electrical tape. For extended operations, some electronics diagnostics and repair tools like a multimeter and soldering iron are recommended.

Are there any tools in addition to those in the tool kit that I should have in the field/on a vessel?
