The Pro 4 uses a precision piezoresistive sensor for water pressure and temperature measurement.Both datum are measured by a single sensing element which is in contact with the environment.This allows for both an explicit measurement of temperature and also temperature compensation of the external pressure sensing.The device is calibrated by the sensor manufacture for both pressure and temperature. Analog to digital conversion is integral to the sensor, and only a digital interface is used to connect to the ROV.
