Are VideoRay ROVs safe to use in potable water tanks?

VideoRay's are safe to use in potable water tanks as long as they are not modified and the safety precautions, cleaning requirements and operating standards specified by the appropriate local or national guidelines are followed.

The ROV and tether materials used in construction (anodized aluminum, stainless steel and plastics) are generally inert in water.

The oil in the thruster cartridge seals is food grade and is registered with the USDA / NSF Nonfood Compound Registration Program as an H1 lubricant (NSF Registration # 134111) in food processing and food packaging areas.
