Sonars supported by VideoRay can be affected by underwater noise, but this is very rare. The only underwater noise that might affect them is loud noise in a close frequency (or a harmonic) that they are listening to in order to produce an image. In practice, this only occurs if several sonars using the same frequency are deployed in the same area at the same time. You generally do not need to worry about acoustic pollution when you deploy sonar on a VideoRay.
